Today, the cooperative counts 1100 cooperators and a warehouse that is being transformed into a supermarket. In order to continue building this utopia to we need build up funds and to increase our capital. That is why we launched \u2018coop-funding\u2019![\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_column_text][\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3>What is \u2018coop-funding\u2019?<\/h3>\n<p>\u2018Coopfunding\u2019 means investing some of your capital (money) in a project that you believe in. You believe, as we do, that we should all put our rights on our plates and that fair remuneration for producers is tomorrow\u2019s challenge. Every euro invested means we can borrow less money from the banks and increase our independence.<\/p>\n<p>Practically, there are two options to invest:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Simply buy more \u2018part A\u2019 shares than required to become a working member of the cooperative. Over 1100 people have bought \u2018Part A\u2019 shares to join the Coop and be able to do their shopping. However, you are free to invest more than the minimum amount requested.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Alternatively, if you want to invest, but not take active part in the Coop or shop in the store, you can invest in \u2018Part C\u2019 shares.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To know more on how to invest in Bees coop click <a href=\"http:\/\/bees-coop.be\/les-chantiers\/transformer-une-utopie-en-realite-financement-de-bees\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a> (text in French).[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_column_text][\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Part C Support Shares?\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Part C shares<\/strong> cost 250\u20ac each to a maximum of 5000\u20ac (20 shares).<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li>There is no financial return on your investment as the coop is a non-profit organisation.<\/li>\n<li>At general assemblies, just like Part A cooperators, \u2018Support\u2019 cooperators are invited to participate in strategic decision-making.<\/li>\n<li>Thanks to <strong>Tax Shelter<\/strong> for start-ups, you are eligible for tax credits for 30% of your investment (if you keep your shares for at least 4 years).<\/li>\n<li>Read the <a href=\"http:\/\/bees-coop.be\/faq\/\" target=\"_blank\">FAQs<\/a> if you still have questions.<\/li>\n<li>You can also have a look at the <a href=\"http:\/\/bees-coop.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/PF_RESUME.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">financial plan<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/issuu.com\/beescoop\/docs\/constitution_scrl-fs_bees_coop_-_16?e=23469708\/35495520\" target=\"_blank\">cooperative statutes<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/issuu.com\/beescoop\/docs\/roi_beescoopscrlfs_definitif?e=23469708\/35894943\" target=\"_blank\">cooperative internal code of conduct<\/a> (all documents are in French).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Part C shares, also called \u2018support shares\u2019 are not donations but financial investments of a minimum of one year in order to ensure the financial sustainability for the project.
